Spewy

Spewy was launched and is operated by a mum who knows all too well how difficult it can be trying to deal with the inevitable messes that come with raising kids. 

From vomiting bugs to car sickness, it can seem like the days of mopping up spew never ends. Jo, the founder of the company, was motivated to create a reusable, sustainable product for dealing with spills and upset tummies and thus, the Spewy was born.

The Spewy is a practical, versatile and hygienic product that can absorb up to two litres of liquid, thanks to its unique combination of microfibre and terry towelling. It can be used to mop up messes, placed under a sick child to protect surfaces underneath, and is machine-washable for the ultimate time-poor parenting product.

The company’s product line has since expanded to include bed mats and travel packs. Spewy products are created by parents for parents and have proven to be immensely popular since their release. 

An initial audit of the Spewy website revealed that there was significant work to be done from an off-page perspective.

While the site performed fairly well from a technical standpoint, there were still numerous improvements that could be made. In addition, the backlink profile was cause for concern, with the velocity of links suggesting that a spam strategy was in place.
